Bayley Discusses How Competing Against Each Other Elevated The Four Horsewomen

Since their time together in NXT, Sasha Banks, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch have been the standard in the WWE women's division. Dubbed the Four Horsewomen, the women have become four of the biggest stars in the entire company.

Appearing on the Swerve City Podcast, Bayley discussed how the four women helped push each other to new heights.

"The competition made us stand out and get to the level we did," she said. "Charlotte and Sasha were main eventing shows for a long time. Obviously, we love each other and are there for each other, but it's like, 'Damn, I wish I was in the title picture with you, or I wish I had the title.' It was always friendly but it was always, in our mind, 'I'm better than you, I just need the match to prove it and the opportunity to prove it.' We all knew it, it's not like we were talking shit behind (the others back). We knew what we were there for and that's what made it awesome. Becky and I were the underdogs of the group and we didn't know why. We were the biggest babyfaces and getting great reactions. It took us a while, character-wise, we were always trying. We all needed each other, for sure."

Becky is currently away as she's pregnant and Charlotte is away following surgery, but Bayley and Sasha hold all the gold on the main roster with the two having the Women's Tag Team Titles, Bayley having the SmackDown Women's Title, and Sasha having the Raw Women's Title.

Bayley is set to defend the SmackDown Women's Title at SummerSlam against the winner of a triple brand battle royal, which will be decided on Friday's SmackDown.
