Bayley: For WWE To Have A Women's Intercontinental Title, Someone Has To Fight To Make It Happen

Bayley is open to the idea of WWE having a mid-card championship for women but knows that it won't happen overnight.

Bayley has achieved every single accolade available to women's wrestlers outside of the Royal Rumble. In the case of the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship, Bayley and Sasha Banks personally fought for those championships to be created.

In a new interview with Sportskeeda Wrestling, Bayley is asked about the possibility of a Women's Intercontinental Championship equivalent and says that she's not against the idea, but it's going to be up to the talent to step up and fight for this championship to be created and show why it is necessary.

"I mean, it wouldn't hurt. It would be nice to have another title but I think it's just gonna take time. You know, when we wanted those women's tag team titles, it took a long time and it took someone actually fighting for them. So if that's what we want, someone has to stand up for it and really fight for it and prove that it's going to be a benefit to the division," she said.

In the latest WWE video game, WWE 2K22, there is actually a storyline where Bailey holds a women's Intercontinental Championship. Perhaps, one day that title will be a reality.

Another top women's Superstar, Raquel Rodriguez also spoke about being open to the idea of having a secondary title created. Read more here.

Meanwhile, Bayley will make history at WWE Crown Jewel on November 5 as she competes against Bianca Belair in a Last Woman Standing match in Saudi Arabia. Learn more here.
