Becky Lynch Provides An Update On Her Book, Filmed A Documentary During The Pandemic

Becky Lynch did indeed write a book during the pandemic.

In August 2020, Lynch tweeted a teaser that she was writing...something. In the teaser, she used the title Toast And Me. A Study in Seven Volumes.

It turns out, Becky did in fact write a book while she was pregnant and away from WWE.

"I wrote a book. I did actually write a book. At least five chapters about toast," Becky Lynch told Ryan Satin on Out of Character when asked about her time away from WWE. "I did write a book and I got the first draft done. I haven't gotten the second and third, I've written a bit of the second. That was an artistic outlet for me. I shot a documentary, myself and Colby [Seth Rollins] did a lot of it ourselves. I don't know if it'll air or not, but we did those things. That at least helped me feel like I was working and doing stuff."

Becky continued by saying, "I've always wanted to write a book. Whenever I was going through hard times as a teenager, I was always like, 'Well, will this sound better in the biography, it will. Okay, we'll go through it.' When I've looked at things that way, it's made everything better and made everything easier. Do you remember the My Sacrifice videos? I always wanted that struggle and I think I've always ought it out. It may be akin to going away when I was at the height of my career and coming back, it was that struggle. I always want that struggle because I think it makes you more interesting as a human, as a character, as a book, as a film. It makes a more interesting life when you struggle and go through those hard times and you overcome."

Lynch did confirm that she's talked to publishers, but doesn't know when it will be released.

"If it ever comes out, buy it. Yeah (I have talked to publishers), but nobody ever gave me a deadline, so I'm like, 'Well, I'll take my time.' Now I don't have as much time," she said.

Becky has less free time as she returned to WWE at SummerSlam and won the SmackDown Women's Championship.

Elsewhere during the interview, Becky discussed her return and how she believes her heel turn is going. You can find her full comments by clicking here.
