Belal Muhammad wants to team with CM Punk in WWE.
CM Punk recently shouted out UFC Fighter Belal Muhammad in a promo on Monday Night Raw. For a time, they trained together, but now, CM Punk has returned to his forte inside the squared circle as a WWE Superstar. With WWE and UFC owned by the same parent company, Endeavor, there's always the possibility for a crossover between the old friends.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Belal Muhammad revealed that he would like to be in a tag team with CM Punk. Muhammad said he was supposed to go to WWE SummerSlam to watch CM Punk face Drew McIntyre. He even said that he saw Jelly Roll's spot in the ring at SummerSlam, Chokeslamming Austin Theory, at SummerSlam, believing that could have been him.
“I want to be a tag team with Punk,” said Muhammad. “I was supposed to go to SummerSlam, but I went to Abu Dhabi for the UFC fight. I knew Punk was making his comeback, and I wanted to see it, and then I saw Jelly Roll in the ring, and I was thinking, ‘Hey, that could have been me!’”
