The Bella Twins are set to be inducted into the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame. And it was Vince McMahon who personally called them to break the news.
Appearing on WWE Backstage, Nikki & Brie discussed getting the Hall of Fame call from Vince.
"Vince called us both, we saw his missed call, my first reaction was 'Nikki, what did you say in the press?' We thought we were in trouble. We called Vince back together and when he told us, we were shocked. 'What, this year?' Right after, we were overwhelmed with gratitude," said Brie.
Nikki added, "So many emotions. When you've worked hard for so long and have fought for so many things and have the one man that you look up to so much, but also that gave you an incredible opportunity, and Vince said the sweetest things. He does (have a soft side)."
The twins then joked that they would get another call from Vince, upset that they told the world that he is nice.
The WWE Hall of Fame ceremony is scheduled for April 2 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
