Bella Twins: At Some Point, We're Coming Back; We Feel Like In Two Years

The Bella Twins continue to tease an in-ring return.

For months Nikki & Brie Bella have teased a return to the ring, stating they would like to make a run at the Women's Tag Team Titles. The twins haven't wrestled since 2018 when they retired from in-ring competition.

Now that they are both parents, they want to have one more run and perform in front of their children.

"Recently, WWE made their huge announcement about WrestleMania for the next three years. When I heard about Dallas in 2022 and Hollywood in 2023, I got chills and was like, 'Brie, we have never gone after the Tag Titles. They were made for us.' There's another run in the Bella Twins. Maybe in Dallas, WrestleMania. At some point, we're coming back," said Nikki on Ellen (host by Mario Lopez)

Brie added, "I had this moment when I wrestled Stephanie McMahon at SummerSlam [2014]. When we came back after our match, her three little girls were in Gorilla. To see their faces when we came through the curtain, they were like [crying] 'MOM!' The goosebumps, the tears, they just looked at their mom like she was a superhero and I really want to wrestle in front of [Nikki's son] Matteo, [her children] Buddy, and Birdie and then come back and them look at me the same way Stephanie's daughters looked at her. I feel like in two years. Let the boys be two. "

Nikki gave birth to Matteo on July 31, 2020, while Brie gave birth to Buddy one day later.

The Bella Twins were set to be inducted into the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame, but the event was canceled due to COVID-19. WWE has yet to officially announce Hall of Fame plans for 2021.
