Bianca Belair will defend the Raw Women's Championship at WWE Royal Rumble.
Belair returned on the January 16 episode of WWE Raw after she missed some time following Alexa Bliss' vicious attack on the January 2 episode. There, Belair defended the title against Bliss, who seemingly snapped when she saw someone wearing an Uncle Howdy mask in the crowd. Belair made it clear that, even after that assault, she'd face Bliss again and again.
She called Bliss out, and Bliss responded by bringing up the Royal Rumble. Belair stopped her and told her that rather than competing in the Royal Rumble Match, she could get a direct title shot. Bliss accepted by telling Belair she'd see her at Royal Rumble.

The two women then brawled, and the fight spilled into the crowd. Belair was about to slam Bliss onto some chairs when she was distracted by the sudden appearance of Uncle Howdy. Bliss capitalized by planting Belair with a DDT on the floor. She then looked at Uncle Howdy, and she was clearly confused.
WWE subsequently confirmed the title match for WWE Royal Rumble.
