Bianca Belair looks back at WWE SummerSlam 2021.
At WWE SummerSlam 2021, Bianca Belair was set to defend the SmackDown Women's Championship against Sasha Banks. When Banks was not cleared to compete, Carmella replaced her. Becky Lynch then made her return and attacked Carmella so she could replace her in the match. Lynch proceeded to beat Belair in 26 seconds to win the title.
Speaking with Alistair McGeorge of Metro, Bianca Belair reflected on the koss and noted that she had never been more embarrassed. She also described how she felt bad for her parents, who were in attendance.
"26 seconds at SummerSlam, that’s the most embarrassed I’ve ever been. My parents were in the audience, they didn’t know what was going on, they had no idea what was happening. I felt really bad for them," Belair said.
Belair then stated that performing on live television meant that getting embarrassed was always a risk, but she has gotten used to it. She said that she doesn't really get embarrassed anymore, and she has learned to live with the possibility.
"I risk getting embarrassed every time I go out there on live TV, so I have to just let it go. We go on live TV every day, with the possibility of embarrassing ourselves, so I kind of just expect it. I’ve never had like, wardrobe malfunctions or, my hair fall out. I don’t really have an embarrassing moment! Now I’m jinxing myself," Belair said.
Belair previously recalled how John Cena gave her advice after her loss to Lynch. Check out her comments here.
