Big Bill Asked TNA For A Contract Before Opportunity With AEW

Big Bill asked about a possible TNA contract before he joined All Elite Wrestling.

In 2021, Big Bill joined TNA's roster, but worked on a per show basis. Whe AEW came calling in 2022, it seems he wanted more from TNA, but they were unwilling to meet his request.

While speaking on a recent appearance on Talk Is Jericho, Bill reflected on the process of joining AEW, noting that he asked about a full time contract with IMPACT prior.

"Per show. For a certain amount of time, I couldn’t do certain other promotions. That ran out. Then I was on a handshake deal. I had started hearing that maybe there was interest other places. I asked them for a contract, they were like, ‘Ah, we don’t want to pay that much.’ I totally understand that. That’s what I thought I could get elsewhere. I worked on a handshake deal with them, and then the opportunity came with AEW."

Bill would make his debut in AEW on May 4th 2022, facing off with Wardlow. Since then Bill has become a tag team champion in All Elite Wrestling.

In another recent interview, Brody King expressed how much talent he feels Big Bill has as a pro wrestler. You can read more about that here.
