Big E Officially Moves From WWE Raw To WWE SmackDown

WWE SmackDown has made a big acquisition.

On January 28, Big E appeared on WWE SmackDown for the second consecutive week. Last week it was played off by commentary as being a by-product of Royal Rumble season, but tonight it was said on multiple occasions that he is "Officially back on SmackDown."

No details were given as to why Big E is making the move back to Friday nights or if Raw will be receiving an asset in return for the former WWE Champion.

Big E was on SmackDown until September 13, 2021, when he cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on Bobby Lashley. As a result, he became the newest member of the Raw roster and was reunited with his New Day brothers, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods. Unfortunately for them, they were once again separated in the WWE Draft less than a month later.

Big E's last match on Raw came on January 10 where he was defeated by Seth Rollins. He and Kofi Kingston teamed up tonight for the first time in nearly 18 months to defeat Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss.

Both E and Kofi are scheduled to compete in tomorrow's Royal Rumble match. The full card for the show can be seen here.

Xavier Woods recently revealed that he suffered a torn Plantaris and will be out for 4-6 weeks. Click here to learn more.
