- Lashley had a little help in evening the playing field during his title match. The Miz and Ciampa came to ringside, and they distracted the champion. When The Miz was about to attack Styles, Dexter Lumis appeared in the crowd, and he hopped the barricade. Security officials restrained him, but the distraction neutralized The Miz's interference. Lumis also appeared in the crowd during the August 8 episode.

- Theory returned to WWE RAW and bounced back in a big way. Dolph Ziggler confronted him back stage, and the two foes brawled to set up their clash in the main event. In doing so, he won his first match on WWE TV since WWE Money in the Bank.

- Alexa Bliss and Asuka defeated Nikki A.SH. and Doudrop to move to the next round in the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Tournament.

Once the bell rang, Ciampa and the former WWE Champion displayed impressive chemistry and picked up the win.

- Drew McIntyre made a rare appearance on Raw and vowed to dethrone Roman Reigns when they collide at Clash at the Castle. He got into a heated exchange with Kevin Owens, who stated that it's time to bring back The Prizefighter and emphasized that he's coming for all the gold. McIntyre said they're wrestlers in a wrestling ring, and he challenged Owens to a match, which he won by disqualification when The Usos attacked him.

- The Judgment Day kicked off the show, and Damian Priest agreed to take on Edge without Finn Balor and Rhea Ripley by his side next week. He made it clear that he intends to send Edge back into retirement next week. Rey Mysterio attacked the group from behind, but when he refused to hit Rhea Ripley, the trio laid him out. Balor stomped a chair onto his stomach with the Coup de Grâce.

Lashley noted that his matches have showcased the depth of the roster, and he's ready to take on anyone. He also credited Styles by calling him one of the best of the best.

- Drew McIntyre appeared on Raw Talk and said that being on Raw was like being home again, much like he'll be back in his neck of the woods at WWE Clash at the Castle.
