Bobby Lashley: Vince McMahon Look At Me Like A Star, I Haven't Made A Connection With Triple H

Bobby Lashley comments on his standing with Triple H compared to Vince McMahon.

WWE underwent a regime change in June 2022 when Vince McMahon retired as WWE Chairman after allegations of hush money were reported. Triple H took over as the leader of creative during that time, though Vince continued to give input until allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking came to light in a lawsuit filed by former employee Janel Grant in January 2024.

Bobby Lashley had success under Vince McMahon, being booked strongly as WWE Champion and the leader of the Hurt Business. He was aligned with The Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) under Triple H's booking, but has been off television since April due to injury.

Appearing on The Laboratory podcast, Lashley was asked "who he rocks with" between Vince McMahon and Triple H.

"If I say the wrong thing right now [Laughter]. I had a connection with Vince. Vince understood me. Vince was big on the show. He looked at people that were stars. He saw that in me. There were a lot of little nuggets that Vince would give me throughout my career and tell me different things. Vince looked at me like, 'I can tell Bobby works his ass off. I can send him anywhere around the country to represent the brand.' He looked at me like a star. I like Vince. I haven't really had too much of a connection with Hunter. Hunter has his guys. I've tried to, but we haven't really worked enough together to get to know each other," he said.

It is unknown if or when Lashley will return to WWE television.
