Bobby Steveson (Damon Kemp): I Would Go Back To WWE If They Called, There's No Hard Feelings

Bobby Steveson is open to potential opportunities to return to wrestling.

Steveson signed with WWE in August 2021 and had a run on NXT as Damon Kemp. He was part of Diamond Mine, and he later joined No Quarter Catch Crew. In July 2024, he announced that he was no longer under WWE contract.

Speaking on the I Love Wrestling Podcast, Steveson was asked whether he would return to WWE or another wrestling ring. He noted that he would go back if WWE called, and he would be open to other opportunities as well, but he was excited about getting into country music.

“I mean, if WWE called back, like I said before, I’d go back for sure. I don’t think I burned any bridges there. Never had issues, never back-talked. I felt like it was just one of those things, once my brother got let go, I don’t know if it was one of things, they wanted to stab the knife a little deeper in him and get me too as collateral damage. Like I said, if my wrestling was bad or my acting was bad or my character work was bad, I wouldn’t have been on TV as much as I was, and I wouldn’t be in the video game two years in a row. So obviously, I was doing my part. It’s one of those things…I talked to the person about it too, he was like, ‘Yeah, I kind of knew it was going to happen.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I kind of knew too.’ Just the extra, let’s stab the knife even deeper and let’s get his brother too. But like I said, a lot of people were shocked because I was on TV pretty much every week, and my wrestling was great, acting was great. It is what it is. But as far as any other ring, I’ve thinking about it, but I’ve kind of been excited about this music stuff me and Ethan are doing. But if the opportunity does come for an AEW or TNA or even WWE again, I enjoyed it, there’s no hard feelings. Yeah, it sucked, but like I said, it’s an entertainment business. The show’s not going to stop if one person’s gone. It just keeps rolling," Steveson said.

Steveson recently made an appearance in a Super Bowl commercial. More information is available here.
