Booker T gives his take on NXT Battleground being moved to the UFC Apex.
The show, which will now take place on June 9, was originally set to emanate from the Enmarket Arena in Savannah, Georgia on May 26. The show was moved to the UFC Apex back in April. This will be a huge milestone for WWE, as it will be the first show ever hosted in the Las Vegas based arena.
While speaking on a recent episode of the Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about Battleground being held at the UFC Apex
“I have no real feelings either way, man. I’m excited to be a part of the UFC with this merger, TKO. I’m excited about all this stuff. But I feel a little apprehensive at the same time. Just because the old guard, it’s changed now, and I’m still trying to fit in, trying to make sure…I’ve always been about going to work and doing my job. It’s never been about anything other than going to work and doing my job, and just for the new guys, hey man, I’m here to go out and do my job and do it to the best of my ability. Vic [Joseph] and I, we’ve been having a hell of a run, I must say. People say Vic and I perhaps could be the best duo on television right now. That’s across all sports [laughs]. No, man. I’m excited. I’m excited to get to Apex. This is the first time I’ll get in there. I’ve always wanted to get in there and check out one of the UFC fights, always been busy. But now to be able to go in and do an NXT show and actually see what it’s all about, I’m pretty excited."
