Booker T shares his thoughts on Zilla Fatu's in-ring debut.
Fatu, the son of late WWE star Umaga, made his in-ring debut at Reality of Wrestling's Summer of Champions IX event on July 15. Booker T runs the school/promotion, so he had been working with Fatu ahead of his first match.
Speaking on The Hall of Fame podcast with co-host Brad Gilmore, Booker T was asked to share his thoughts on Fatu's debut.
"That was Zilla Fatu’s first match in front of a crowd, and you could tell he was very, very composed. He had that thing where we say in wrestling, if you feel like you’re going slow, move a little bit slower. He has that effect going on. His quickness and explosiveness was definitely there. You could feel his dad in the arena. I swear to god, you could feel his dad in the arena. I could see his dad sitting right there next to me. I could feel his presence in that arena on Saturday night, and I think Zilla felt a little bit of it as well," Booker T said.
The WWE Hall of Famer also noted that Umaga would never miss a Reality of Wrestling show as he highlighted their relationship.
Fatu commented on his debut and joked about buying WWE. Click here to see what he had to say.
In a previous interview, Fatu stated that he had been studying John Cena. Check out his comments here.
