During his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker was asked his opinion on Cody's work on the microphone from earlier this week. Booker, who is very proud to say that Cody was his last opponent in WWE, says this is no surprise to him and he always knew that Cody had greatness inside of him.

"I always felt like Cody, he had something," He began. "I always knew Cody was as good as, you know, his dad and as good as his brother. I knew that. I'd been around that kid for a long time. So to actually see him, you know, doing what he's doing right now, I'm literally not surprised with what Cody Rhodes is doing right now. And he's definitely making people feel again and that's good, and a lot of people can learn and take notes as far as what's going on and why."

Booker T also weighed in on the upcoming main event for AEW Full Gear on pay-per-view. Chris Jericho, Cody‘s opponent in the World Championship match on pay-per-view, is also somebody that Booker has a lengthy history with. Booker talked about the added stipulation of judges for the title fight and encouraged AEW to continue doing things differently.

"It's different," Booker began. "That's the only thing I can say about it is different. And I think when you're trying something new and it's different, it's worth a try. You know, you never know if it's going to work if you don't try. So I think you've got to put something out there, throw it out there, see if it sticks. If it sticks, we go with it. It might be something that we do every six months. Maybe once a year. You never know. But I don't think it's something that we do every pay-per-view or anything like that. So I think it's something that, like I said, if we try [and] it works, hey, let's put it in the can [and] keep it for later. So. Yeah, I like it."

AEW Full Gear takes place on Saturday, November 9, live on pay-per-view, and B/R Live.
