Booker T praises NXT North American Title bout from NXT Great American Bash.
Dominik Mysterio successfully defended his NXT North American Championship against Wes Lee and Mustafa Ali at NXT Great American Bash. The bout was originally scheduled to be Lee vs. Ali, but plans changed when Dominik won the title on the July 18 episode of NXT, turning things into a triple threat bout.
Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T commented on the bout.
“The triple threat was awesome. Dominik Mysterio is definitely moving into a stratosphere where most young men at that stage has never seen, he really is. This kid is honestly that good. What a match. That young man has come up like crazy. Mustafa Ali, give him big, big props. That boy Wes Lee, state of the art. State of the art, next-level talent. Everything in that match, I’m talking about the finish, the finish was beautiful. It was a beautiful finish. So big props to all those guys for going out there and having a stellar performance. Stellar performance," he said.
Dominik is set to defend his NXT North American Championship on the August 8 episode of NXT when he takes on Dragon Lee. Rey Mysterio will be in the corner of Dragon Lee.
