The Book man is going to be a part of WWE for the next ten years.
Soon-to-be two-time WWE Hall Of Famer and former 5-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion Booker T is making the rounds on the media circuit to promote his 'Hall Of Fame' podcast that airs on ESPN 97.5 FM on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Booker T recently spoke with the Houston-based publication 'Culture Map' and talked about his existing relationship with WWE and spoke about his kickoff show duties and revealed that his contract with the sports-entertainment company runs through in 2029.
"I still work for WWE. I’m currently an analyst on pay-per-view shows and [an] ambassador for the company. My contract runs through 2029." Booker revealed.
On top of his duties in WWE, Booker T also runs his 'Reality Of Wrestling' promotion that he made a return to in-ring competition for earlier this year. Booker T said that he and his staff try to instill the same fire in his students that wrestlers had when he was coming up in the business. Booker shared that he is tough on his students and does not accept excuses and wants his students to take what they learned from him and use it in their careers going forward.
"We try to instill that. Not everybody is going to be like me when I was entering the business. In Reality Of Wrestling, we have a lot of ambitious guys who want to get to the next level. We push them as hard as we can. If they don’t have fire in them, they don’t last very long. I’m extremely tough on them. I don’t accept any excuses." He said. "I didn’t accept any excuses from myself. I was a single dad when I started in the business. I was working six days a week. I had a beat-up car, I never asked anyone for anything. I worked my butt off to get where I am today."
Booker T alongside Stevie Ray are set to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame during WrestleMania 35 weekend and they'll be joining Torrie Wilson, DX and The Honky Tonk Man as the current list of 2019 WWE Hall Of Fame inductees.
