Booker T comments on the WWE-TNA partnership.
The wrestling year kicked off with a huge announcement back on January 16, as WWE and TNA officially announced the launch of a multi-year partnership. Since then, the crossover has been fruitful, with stars like Cora Jade, Nathan Frazer, Masha Slamovich, Axiom, and Ashante 'Thee' Adonis all appearing for their non-home promotion.
On the latest edition of his Hall Of Fame podcast, Booker T talked about the official announcement of the partnership, stating that he'd like to see Moose take on a big star at a big Premium Live Event.
“I feel like it’s a great thing. If I was one of those guys in TNA back in the day, if I was AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Roode, Machismo, if I was one of those guys, I would be like, man, I’m all in, I’m on board 100% just because you know there is a bridge that you have a chance to perhaps cross one day. The door is open for you. Your talent is gonna speak for itself, that’s the only thing you can really think about relying on when you’ve got something like that, man, am I talented enough? I look at the guys like the Motor City Machine Guns, they’ve been talented enough for many, many years and now finally, they’re getting that shot. There’s so many guys over there in TNA that [are] worthy, like I said, Moose, of getting that shot to come over and perform at that highest level. Even if they’re still under contract with TNA, they can still come over to WWE — say for instance Moose being in one of the big PLE events, taking on one of the big guns. Anywhere in the world, that’s a seller for me. I think having that, man, it’s worth it weight in gold for those guys being in TNA. They should be thanking their lucky, lucky stars right now for this deal and this crossover between WWE and TNA.”
