WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs has a main event.
During the opening segment of Monday Night Raw, Braun Strowman cashed in his favor owed to him by Stephanie McMahon for carrying Team Raw at WWE Survivor Series. The stipulation stated that if Strowman helped Team Raw to victory, he would get a crack at Baron Corbin on his terms. Strowman dominated at Survivor Series, eliminating four of the five members of Team SmackDown. As a result, he got his one-on-one bout against the Acting General Manager.

Prior to Survivor Series, Stephanie also agreed to give Strowman a Universal Title shot against Brock Lesnar if he helped Team Raw on Sunday. However, she changed the rules a bit on Monday. Stephanie stated that Strowman would need to defeat Corbin at WWE TLC if he wants his Universal Title match at the Royal Rumble. As for Corbin, he was looking to be promoted to full-time General Manager following his success in leading the Raw brand at Survivor Series. Stephanie praised him for his main show clean sweep, but said if he wanted the promotion, he would need to defeat Strowman at WWE TLC.
