The Monster was back in the ring on Raw.
It had been two months since Braun Strowman has physically competed inside the WWE ring. On the Nov. 19 episode of Raw, Strowman suffered a "shattered elbow" at the hands of Drew McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler and Baron Corbin. Strowman underwent elbow surgery on Nov. 21 and as of Jan. 8 had reportedly not been cleared for action. Last Monday on Raw, Strowman was pulled by Vince McMahon from his Universal Title bout against the Brock Lesnar at WWE Royal Rumble, leading to more speculation that he still had not been cleared for action. Strowman competed at WWE TLC in December against Corbin, but did not get physical in the bout, just showing up to record the pinfall.
He looked just fine on Monday when he competed in singles competition against Finn Balor.

Braun would lose the bout by disqualification when Brock Lesnar interfered and took out his new Royal Rumble opponent, Finn Balor.
Strowman recently stated that he would "do his best" to enter this Sunday's Royal Rumble bout.
