Brock Lesnar Looks Forward To Facing Gunther But He Doesn't Call The Shots In WWE

Brock Lesnar talks about his interaction with Gunther in the WWE Royal Rumble and says he wants another title opportunity.

Brock Lesnar is the final boss in the eyes of many WWE Superstars. Gunther has gone so far as even to call Brock his "end boss." Brock Lesnar and Gunther interacted very briefly during the 2023 WWE Royal Rumble. Still, ultimately they would have their own paths on the road to WrestleMania, and Brock Lesnar ended up facing Omos at the show of shows.

Speaking with Daniel Cormier, Lesnar revealed that he does have interest in eventually facing Gunther, but, ultimately, he isn't the one calling the shots in WWE and was excited about the Omos encounter when it was presented to him.

"I do," said Brock when asked if a match with Gunther is something he wants. "I don’t really care… it was just proposed, and I don’t know if I don’t make the calls around here. It’s just one of those things. When this was proposed to me, I liked it because I like the challenge, and I like the matchup."

Gunther is the current WWE Intercontinental Champion. Brock Lesnar has never held that championship. In the same interview, Brock Lesnar noted that he would like another opportunity to run with a championship because everyone in the industry wants to be a champion.

"We all want to be a champion, but I don’t think at this point in my career that I really need it. I would like another opportunity at it. If things worked out that way, yeah. But things are crazy in this business," Brock said.
