Brodie Lee Doubted Himself After Double Or Nothing, Credits FTR Member For Helping Him Refocus

Brodie will apologize to Cody for his actions after he's TNT Champion.

Brodie Lee entered All Elite Wrestling in March as the leader of The Dark Order. Shortly thereafter, he was immediately moved into a world championship program with Jon Moxley. After losing to Moxley at Double or Nothing, Brodie felt an immediate sense of self-doubt.

Speaking with Sports Illustrated, The former Luke Harper revealed that it was an old friend, Dax Harwood of FTR, that was able to help the big man refocus.

“I doubted myself after that Moxley match,” said Lee. “I was in my head after that. Coming off a loss in a world title program is a reality I’ve never had to deal with before.

He continued, “To his credit, Dax Harwood of FTR said something special to me backstage. ‘We don’t need a self-doubting Brodie. We need an ass-kicking, cocky-ass Brodie.’ He’s right, and that’s what you are going to get. I’ll apologize to Cody after the fact.”

Brodie Lee was released by WWE on Wednesday, April 15th, 2020. Throughout the majority of his time in WWE, he was a member of the Wyatt family. This weekend, former Wyatt Family brethren, Bray Wyatt and Braun Strowman will clash at WWE SummerSlam for the WWE Universal Championship.

Commenting on that championship clash, Brodie would say that it’s “really cool” to see so many members of that faction competing for major championships over the course of the same weekend.

Fightful will have live coverage of the special Saturday night Dynamite where Brodie Lee will challenge Cody Rhodes for his TNT Championship.
