Bron Breakker Turns On Carmelo Hayes On 4/4 WWE NXT

Bron Breakker has that dog in him, and he proved that he had a bite on the April 4 episode of WWE NXT.

At NXT Stand & Deliver, Carmelo Hayes defeated Bron Breakker to win the NXT Championship. The victory marked a changing of the guard, as Breakker has been the face of NXT throughout his run with the gold. He previously beat Dolph Ziggler to win the title for a second time on the April 4, 2022 episode of WWE Raw, and he had held the title ever since. Breakker's feud with Hayes was built on a level of mutual respect, as they had both been the top stars of the new generation of NXT.

However, Breakker apparently had a change of heart following his defeat. In the show-closing segment of the April 4 episode of NXT. Hayes came to the ring and commented on his victory. He called Breakker out to join him and thanked the former champion, as he wasn't sure what Bron's future held. Breakker spoke highly of Hayes and seemingly passed the torch to the new champion, as he raised Hayes' hand. He then attacked Hayes and laid him out with a beatdown to close the show.

Breakker also took the fight to Trick Williams when he tried to get involved.
