Bronson Reed Says He's 'In Talks' To Wrestle Again, Believes WWE Is No Longer The Pinnacle

Bronson Reed is ready for his next move in wrestling.

Reed was shockingly released by WWE on August 6, just over a month after his NXT North American Title run had concluded. Reed has been working dark matches on the main roster prior to his release as well.

While it is unknown what Reed's next move is in wrestling, he did say on his JONAHDROME Show that he is in talks and will continue his wrestling career.

"I am in talks with people, I cannot tell you what, but I will be wrestling again. You will see me again," he said.

Reed's release coincided with a handful of NXT releases and news that NXT would be undergoing a revamp with less focus on Independent talent.

Speaking about the changes, Reed said, "I'm not the biggest fan of the direction that I have heard they are going in with not actively seeking Independent wrestlers, only because I am a journeyman wrestler. I have nothing against the great athletes there that they have signed and will sign. It's nothing that they've done. It's the business itself. Someone like me that has loved (wrestling) his whole life, of course, I want to end up at the pinnacle of the sport. For a long time, everyone has thought that WWE is the be all, end all, but I don't think it is anymore. More and more talent are realizing that there are other places to go. Other places where my talent will be more utilized."

It is unknown where Reed will end up next.

NXT is set to debut its new look, and crown a new champion, on Tuesday's episode of the program. Fightful will have live coverage of NXT beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday.
