The field of four is set in the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
With last week kicking off this year’s edition of the tournament, this week’s episode of NXT saw the remaining two spots in the semifinals be taken. The semifinals will take place on the January 22 episode of NXT.
The first spot was by the “BroserWeights,” the impromptu duo of Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne, who defeated Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster in the quarterfinals. With the victory, Riddle and Dunne advanced to the semifinals and will take on the Imperium duo of Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel.

Also advancing to the semifinals are Grizzled Young Veterans, who defeated the returning Time Splitters. The duo will take on the reigning NXT Tag Team Champions Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly of the Undisputed Era in the semifinals.
