Bryan Danielson: Sometimes You Have To Crush Someone's Trachea; It's Nothing Mean, It's Satisfying

Bryan Danielson loves violence in the ring, and if you break into his house, he can be violent outside of the ring as well.

Danielson has publicly spoken about how he loves to bleed in the ring and the excitement he feels from being chopped in the ring (but not the bedroom), but outside of the ring, Danielson is rather calm. Though he does find pleasure in crushing tracheas.

"I feel like, for 99% of my life, I'm super calm. Then, when the occasion merits, sometimes you have to crush somebody's trachea. There is a certain amount of satisfaction to getting under right here [the throat] and going [cracking sound]. There's nothing mean about it. It's just satisfying," Danielson said in an interview with Busted Open Radio before AEW All Out.

When asked when the flip switches for Danielson, co-host Mark Henry joked "when his music hits."

Danielson added, "Sometimes, or if somebody breaks into my house. If something outside of normal things happens."

Henry said that the flip might switch if someone hits one of his kids with a shopping cart. Danielson joked, "So, my son might...deserve it. Our son Buddy is pretty wild. I probably wouldn't get that mad at that. Now, if they intentionally try to run over my son with a shopping cart, I might get upset and go from where I'm at right now to a different plane."

Danielson will look to crush the trachea of Chris Jericho on Wednesday's AEW Dynamite when they meet in the semifinals of the AEW Tournament of Champions.

Fightful will have live coverage of AEW Dynamite beginning at 8 p.m. ET on Wednesday.
