Nakano famously feuded with Alundra Blayze (Madusa) in the mid-90s, winning the WWF Women's Title in the Tokyo Dome on an all-women's show presented All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling.

Nakano wrestled around the world including stops in CMLL, AJW, and WCW.

"During my active years, I was able to get championship belts in Japan, America and Mexico," Nakano told ESPN through an interpreter. "But just one thing was missing -- I didn't get inducted into the Hall of Fame. I wanted this. Finally, in 2024 in WrestleMania week, I am able to get this."

Nakano retired in 1997.

Nakano joins Paul Heyman as inductees into the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame.

The Hall of Fame ceremony will take place during WrestleMania weekend.
