Bully Ray Appears Petrified Of PCO, Dalton Castle And More Pick Up Wins | IMPACT x ROH Recap

Here is your fight size update following IMPACT and ROH Wrestling on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Below are highlights from both Thursday night wrestling shows.

IMPACT Wrestling

- Bully Ray had an up-and-down night on August 17. On the one hand, he defeated Black Taurus in a No DQ Match. On the other, he is very much still petrified of PCO. Bully Ray tried to attack the perfect creation, sending him flying through a table with virtually no effect.

- This week, Kon & Deaner of The Design dismantled Eric Young, continuing their rivalry.

- Joe Hendry & Yuya Uemura dropped a new music video on August 17.

- Chris Sabin believes he is well along his way to dethroning Lio Rush as X-Division Champion. This week, Sabin challenged Samuray Del Sol to a match next week.

- Kazarian addressed Eddie Edwards and proposed they stay apart so no one else is caught in the crossfire. Edwards wants to end things once and for all, so Kazarian recommends they return to where it all began, Killer Kowalski's wrestling school in Boston.

- Deonna Purrazzo defeated KiLynn King in singles action as Trinity watched on.

- Kenny King had words for Johnny Swinger

- Moose got a strong win over Kevin Knight.

- Dirty Dango had some harsh words for Jake Something after getting beaten up by him last week.

- Killer Kelly bested both Jessicka and Savannah Evans in 3-Way action.

- SANADA will battle Jake Something at Emergence. Check the full card here.

- August 17 continued an interview series featuring Tom Hannifan interviewing Crazzy Steve. This week, Crazzy Steve discussed his family life. The interview will be concluded next week. (Content warning: This segment featured discussion of suicide)

Ring of Honor

- Athena and Billie Starkz ran afoul of The Renegades on August 17, and even though she doesn't want to be the minion of the Ring of Honor Women's World Champion, Starkz challenged The Renegades to a tag team match for August 24. Learn more here.

- Claudio Castagnoli appeared on ROH. He spoke very candidly about what it means to him to be a champion. Fans can check out his comments here.

- Metalik and Madison Rayne were both successful in their returns to Ring of Honor tonight.

- Samoa Joe and Stokely Hathaway defeated The Boys (Brent Tate and Brandon Tate).

- Dalton Castle picked up another win on Ring of Honor TV. This time he defeated "Pretty" Peter Avalon.

- The Dark Order, Gravity, Josh Woods, and more all picked up victories on August 17.

- Lady Frost also picked up a big victory over Trish Adora. She was shortly thereafter challenged by Kiera Hogan

- Shane Taylor will meet Samoa Joe for the ROH World TV Title by way of winning the Eliminator Tournament. On August 17, Taylor hyped the impending fight.

- Leyla Hirsch defeated Rachel Ellering, working her way up to a shot at the ROH Women's World Title with Maria Kanellis pulling for her.
