Callum Newman wants to share a ring with AEW's best.
On January 5, 2025, AEW, ROH, STARDOM, CMLL, and NJPW will come together to host the Wrestle Dynasty event at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan. For months, fans have been anticipating the event and fantasy booking matches that could possibly take place at the show.
While speaking to NJPW for a new interview, Callum Newman was asked to share some potential opponents he'd like to face at the event. Newman then found out that his name came up in the promotion's recent interview with Kenny Omega.
NJPW: Next year we have two nights in the Tokyo Dome, and Wrestle Dynasty sees us with ROH, STARDOM and AEW. If you’re able to get onto that card, is there a match you have in mind?
Callum Newman: "Dude, Nick Wayne. I’d love to wrestle him again. Anthony Bowens, would love a match with him, another one with Kyle (Fletcher). Who else is there? Kenny Omega, why not?"
NJPW: We actually talked to Kenny the other day and your name came up.
Callum Newman: What did he say?
NJPW: “You know, the guy who runs really fast” (laughs).
Callum Newman: Ok, well buddy, if you need my email, I’ll send it over.
