Carlito turns against the LWO.
The night before WrestleMania XL, Dragon Lee was laid out backstage and ruled unable to compete at WrestleMania XL. He was scheduled to team with Rey Mysterio against Santos Escobar & Dominik Mysterio.
On the April 26th episode of WWE SmackDown, Escobar revealed that Carlito was the person who attacked Lee ahead of WrestleMania.
Carlito would attack Lee once again in the ring on SmackDown after Lee & Rey teamed to defeat Angel & Berto.

Carlito returned to WWE at WWE Backlash 2023 and aligned with the LWO. He returned full-time at WWE Fastlane.
