Carmelo Hayes On Attacking Trick Williams At NXT Vengeance Day: Whooped

Carmelo Hayes had a one-word response following his actions at NXT Vengeance Day.

In the closing moments of NXT Vengeance Day, Carmelo Hayes turned on Trick Williams, as he brutally attacked his former friend's knee. Williams had just unsuccessfully challenged NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov for the NXT Championship, and Hayes was at ringside for the bout. Hayes got involved throughout the match, and Dragunov ultimately walked away with the win. Carmelo then ended the night standing tall after he attacked Williams.

Hayes offered a brief response about his actions in an NXT Vengeance Day Exclusive.

"Whooped," Hayes said as he raised the chair he hit Williams with.

Hayes was seemingly poking fun at Williams' popular "Whoop That Trick" chant, which has helped him become one of the hottest stars in NXT.

Williams earned the title shot by winning the Men's Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline. He was set to face Ilja Dragunov at NXT New Year's Evil, but the champion was not cleared to compete. The match was then postponed to NXT Vengeance Day.
