Carmelo Hayes blindsided Trick Williams.
On the March 19 episode of WWE NXT, Trick Williams returned to the ring for the first time since NXT Vengeance Day and faced former Heritage Cup Champion Noam Dar. Despite some interference by Lash Legend and Oro Mensah, Williams scored the win.
After the bell, Williams called out Carmelo Hayes and said that they did not have to wait for their match at NXT Stand & Deliver. Hayes' personal security team came out and surrounded the ring. In doing so, they seemingly prepared for Hayes' entrance. But it was a trap, as Hayes revealed that he disguised himself as a member of the security team. He attacked Williams and, while other members of the team held Trick, continued the beat-down. Hayes then told Williams that he would take him out.

Hayes previously took Williams out with a vicious attack at NXT Vengeance Day. Williams then returned at NXT Roadblock, and he has been determined to get revenge ever since.
