Carmelo Hayes will represent NXT.
Shawn Michaels announced that Carmelo Hayes will be the representative for NXT in the WWE United States Title Number One Contenders tournament.
Hayes will face Grayson Waller in the first round of the tournament on the December 15 episode of WWE SmackDown.

Hayes is coming off a victory over Lexis King at NXT Deadline.
Hayes and Waller have a history together in NXT, battling for the NXT North American Championship and NXT Championship during their time on the brand together. Hayes is 2-0 against Waller in singles competition.
The WWE US Title is currently held by Logan Paul. The winner of the tournament will challenge him for the title.
