Carmelo Hayes says you'll get an opportunity if you're talented.
At the WWE Bad Blood post-show, Triple H was asked about representation in WWE and how that factored into booking cards for premium live events. He stated that he did not see the difference in anyone, and he only saw talent.
Speaking with Gorilla Position at a media day in London, Carmelo Hayes was asked about representation in WWE, and Triple H's comments were referenced.
“I don’t know, I think when you’re talented, you’re talented, and you’re gonna get an opportunity. I think all of us guys and girls are proving that we deserve all the opportunities, regardless of color, race, ethnicity, all of that. So what Hunter was saying was essentially cream rises to the top, and when you’re talented, you’re talented, period," Hayes said.
Hayes competed at WWE Crown Jewel. He unsuccessfully challenged LA Knight for the WWE United States Championship in a Triple Threat match that included Andrade. Bianca Belair, Jade Cargill, Lash Legend, and Jakara Jackson also competed at the show.
