Melo didn't miss.
Carmelo Hayes became the new NXT Champion at NXT Stand & Deliver, defeating Bron Breakker in the main event.
The finish saw Hayes hit Nothing but Net for the victory.
Earlier in the bout, the referee got wiped out with a spear before Breakker locked in the Steiner Recliner. Trick Williams, who was ejected from ringside early on, returned to break up the submission. Breakker still seemed in control, going for the press powerslam, but Hayes countered with the First 48 before hitting Nothing but Net.

After the bout, Breakker handed the title over to Hayes and raised his arm.
This marks Hayes' first reign as NXT Champion. Breakker had been the champion since the April 4 episode of WWE Raw when he defeated Dolph Ziggler. He made 13 successful title defenses.
