Cesaro says he is willing to reach for the brass ring.
In 2011, Cesaro started his WWE career in developmental. Since then he earned six tag team championships and a United States Championship. In an interview with Sports Illustrated, Cesaro said he still has the goal of reaching the biggest prize in WWE.
“Of course, to be WWE world champion is definitely on my list. Anybody who is not reaching for that proverbial brass ring is doing something wrong if they’re in the WWE,” said Cesaro.
In order to get to his goal, Cesaro said he is "willing to put in the work." But he admitted he is not guaranteed anything despite how hard he works.
“I’m extremely competitive, extremely ambitious, and always looking for ways to improve and move up, to do things better. Hard work doesn't guarantee success, but it does enhance its chances. That’s what I do, go into the ring and deliver every single time,” said Cesaro.
On Monday, the team of Apollo and Titus O'Neil challenged Cesaro and Sheamus for their Raw Tag Team Championship. The match would be Sunday at WWE Elimination Chamber.
