Chael Sonnen Refers To Becky Lynch As A "Jobber" While Discussing Becky And Ronda Rousey's Twitter Feud

Chael Sonnen gives his take.

Immediately coming out of WWE's first-ever all-women's pay-per-view 'Evolution', a match was made official between the two champions who retained their titles at 'Evolution' - those being the RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey and the SmackDown Live Women's Champion Becky Lynch. The two stars would engage in a social media feud since they are on different brands. The feud gained tons of attention from various wrestling outlets including some MMA outlets who were paying attention to some of barbs that Becky had lined up for the UFC Hall Of Famer.

Ronda Rousey gave her fair share of comments as well and as the big match between the two neared closer, it was placed on hold because Becky had her nose broken and was given a concussion by Nia Jax just six days away from her match with Ronda Rousey. Even thought the anticipated Becky Lynch versus Ronda Rousey match has not happened, the two still revisit their social media feud from time to time and many people pay attention to it including NCAA Division I All-American and Mixed Martial Artist Chael Sonnen. During one of Chael's shows that can be viewed at length on the 'Chael Sonnen' YouTube channel, he talked about the Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey social media exchanges and stated that fans wanted to see Ronda admit that she was a quitter and while explaining why he thinks fans wanted that, he referred to Becky Lynch as a "jobber".

“Ronda Rousey is in some verbal dust up with some jobber. Some jobber wrestler that is accusing her accurately. I mean bringing real life into the storyline but accusing her of hiding under her blanket, and taking her ball and going home as soon as she had a defeat in Mixed Martial Arts and I think that’s a really good storyline. But whenever you have a worker and I would provide you with her name if I had the foggiest idea what is was, but whenever you have a worker that’s coming out and starts to bring in real life and reality usually is incumbent on the other worker to have to answer for it with a truthful answer." He explained. "When one person shoots on you it’s very hard to work back. If they shoot on you, you gotta shoot on them. That’s the general rule. So if Ronda is going to be forced to answer for her departure from MMA, she’s going to have to tell the truth and I think Ronda has been very canny. To know that she was hiding under a blanket and taking her ball and going home and looking to go elsewhere, that’s information and evidence that you have because Ronda provided it. I thought it was helpful. I thought it was very helpful." He said. "The part where so many fans would get irritated is she wouldn’t quite go far enough. The fans wanted it very clear that Ronda was never a good fighter, she was never the best in the world, she was a flash in the pan in a division that was forming. She was taking out girls that were called number one contenders that never had to prove it, because it was too new, and as soon as people started to settle into divisions, and as soon as we started to see who the top fighters were, put them opposite Ronda, they ran through her. For some reason, the fans want that said by Ronda." Sonnen concluded.

Both Becky and Ronda have championship title defenses coming up next weekend at WWE's TLC pay-per-view. Becky is defending her title in a Triple-Threat TLC match against Charlotte Flair and Asuka, and Ronda Rousey is defending her title against Nia Jax.
