Charles Barkley: If Shaq Did Wrestling 25 Years Ago, He'd Be Great; Now He's Close To Depends

Charles Barkley weighs in on Shaquille O'Neal's AEW bout.

Shaq stepped into an AEW ring in March 2021, teaming with Jade Cargill to battle Cody Rhodes & Red Velvet. Shaq's team was victorious with one highlight being Shaq taking a bump through a table.

Speaking with Renee Paquette on The Sessions, Shaq's teammate on Inside The NBA Charles Barkley gave his thoughts on Shaq's performance.

"That's the perfect word, this dude is crazy. His body probably can't take the abuse today, but with his personality, he's one of the most fun people I've ever been around. He's a really hard working dude. He's on every commercial. It's just a matter of time before he starts doing Depends commercials. I know he's turning 50 in the next couple of weeks so he's close to Depends. He's a great businessman. He does a lot of stuff, clearly. With his personality, if he really wanted to do [wrestling] 25 years ago, he would have been great," said Barkley.

Shaq was carted into an ambulance after the bout and then magically disappeared. He has hinted at returning to wrestling, but nothing has come to fruition.

As for Barkley, he recently offered praise for Jon Moxley. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
