Orlando will make an offer for TKO events.
According to the Sports Business Journal, Orange County Commissioners “approved millions related to Orlando’s bid” to host the Jaguars in 2027, and WWE and UFC events.
The commission voted to distribute $29.46M in “tourist development tax sports incentive funds related to five requests.” The top item was $18 million for the Greater Orlando Sports Commission to “draw four future events from the WWE and UFC -- including WrestleMania in 2031”
Furthermore, up to $11 million to Florida Citrus Sports for Camping World Stadium to “serve as the temporary home” for the Jaguars in 2027.
Greater Orlando Sports Commission President & CEO Jason Siegel said that events pursued with the funds “may include about 10 to 12 shows at both the Kia Center and Camping World Stadium" and that te commission is “in the process of bidding on the events and the WWE is in conversation with roughly two dozen other cities on various events.”
It was previously reported that Orlando is seeking to host the following events:
- In 2026: Either WWE's Survivor Series in November or Saturday Night's Main Event in December at Kia Center.
- In 2027: a pay-per-view with UFC in August or September at Kia Center.
- In 2028: WWE's Royal Rumble at Camping World Stadium in February 2028.
- In 2031: Host WWE's WrestleMania in mid to late April, with Camping World Stadium serving as the main venue and Kia Center also hosting events during WrestleMania week. The WrestleMania event itself will be two nights, as well as arena shows for Raw and SmackDown during the week.
WrestleMania XXIV and WrestleMania 33 took place at Camping World Stadium.
