Cheeseburger is stepping into the ring with a grizzled veteran once again.
Tonight at Ring Of Honor's 'N.Y.C. Excellence' show which will be held from Manhattan's Hammerstein Ballroom features an eight match-card including a third bout between WWE Hall Of Famer Bully Ray and the Jushin Thunder Liger trainee, Cheeseburger. Over the past number of months dating back to Supercard Of Honor XII, Bully Ray has made Cheeseburger the target of his attack on "young boys" who in his words have been killing the business.
Since their first official in-ring encounter Cheeseburger has bested Bully Ray on two separate occasions and will have a chance to run the score up again tonight at 'N.Y.C. Excellence' in a NO-DQ match. 'Bleeding Cool News' had the opportunity to speak with Cheeseburger ahead of his big match and asked him about his strategy heading into the contest:
"Bully has already hit me with his best shot and he couldn’t get the job done. Powerbombs, Chokeslams, but I’m still here. I’m going into the match on Saturday with no fear, what else can he do to me that hasn’t already happened? It will be my first hardcore match so I’m looking forward to this experience." He said.
Cheeseburger added that he is not surprised that Bully Ray turned his back on him so-to-speak, but did state that Bully must have forgotten that he and Cheeseburger were once in the same position. Cheese expressed that the next generation is coming whether Bully likes it or not.
"Absolutely, he was in my position once." He continued, "Bully seems to have forgotten his roots from when he broke into wrestling. The veterans of this industry should look to mentor and nurture younger talent. The next generation is coming whether he likes it or not. I plan to be one of the leaders for the next generation."
