Chelsea Green Says Tough Enough Producers Tried To Make Her And Mandy Rose Argue

The line between what's real and what is not on reality television is often blurry and Chelsea Green talks about her experience in that environment.

Green was a part of the Tough Enough reboot that took place in 2015, joining a cast that included Mandy Rose. While Green spoke highly of the friendships that were made during the filming of the show, Green did admit in a video on her own YouTube channel that the producers would try and plant the seeds to start drama among the cast members in the hopes that it would be shown on television. Green used herself and Rose as an example of the producers trying to make some drama happen.

"The producers would kind of plant a little seed in your ear. Maybe they would say, let's use the blonde example: I'm blonde, Mandy's blonde. Maybe they were trying to plant a seed in Mandy's ear and say, 'Do you think she was trying to copy you? Before, she was brunette, now she's blonde. You're the only blonde in the house.' Then they would say, why don't you talk to her about that? Before she talked to me, they might say, 'Hey, don't you think Mandy's getting jealous because you're blonde? She might think you copied her.' Then, when you meet up to talk, there's fireworks, all of a sudden, there's fireworks because you're both on edge. It's crazy. The producers are kind of like puppet masters and honestly, it's amazing what they can do. I loved the producers of our show and I always knew what they wanted so I gave it to them," Green said.

Green would end up being eliminated relatively late in the season while Rose finished as that season's female runner-up contestant. Green signed a contract with Impact Wrestling, but currently wrestles for WWE, competing on the NXT brand while Rose is competing on SmackDown.
