Chris Hero took to social media to post a photo of himself with announcer Chris Charlton with the caption, "Just doing a little coaching at the #ForbiddenDoor."
Charlton provided commentary for Forbidden Door.

Fightful Select published the following report regarding Hero on June 17:
Chris Hero is being looked at as a potential name to join All Elite Wrestling in at least a backstage capacity, Fightful Select has learned. We’ve been told that Hero is in town and is scheduled to be backstage at the AEW Collision debut in Chicago tonight, working with the company on a trial basis.
Hero has previously said that he's not retired and is currently working as the matchmaker for West Coast Pro.
