On March 15, AEW will debut in Winnipeg with AEW Dynamite.
Chris Jericho plans to be involved in some way as he, Kenny Omega, and Don Callis are wrestling legends in Winnipeg and integral to the history of AEW and how the promotion started. With Jericho being involved in AEW creative, he believes he has a hit idea for the AEW show in Winnipeg.
"Creatively, I'm very involved, but more importantly, it's a creative passion that I have, not just for my stuff, but if I can help other people's stuff, working closely with Tony Khan on that sort of thing. That, to me, is what keeps me going," Jericho said on Busted Open Radio when asked what keeps him going at this point in his career. "I was just talking about a show we have coming up in Winnipeg, and the crux of AEW basically started from three guys in Winnipeg. Tokyo Dome; Jericho vs. Omega, that was basically brokered by Don Callis. Here we are, going back to Winnipeg, Jericho and Omega, there is a little bit of a legend between us, we have to be involved in some way. We were thinking about how we were going to do this and we came up with something yesterday that was really exciting to me I was up all night thinking about it, how fun it might be and how cool it's going to be."
Jericho previously noted that he might team with Omega at the Winnipeg event. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
Before AEW heads to Winnipeg, the company will be in California for AEW Revolution. Jericho will take on Ricky Starks at the event. Fans can check out the current lineup for AEW Revolution by clicking here.
