Christian Cage is back.
The leader of the Patriarchy made his return to All Elite Wrestling on the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite and was immediately named as the person that will face Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at the upcoming Double Or Nothing pay-per-view.
Cage made his way to the ring and went face-to-face with Strickland. Before speaking, Cage attacked Strickland with a microphone before beating him down even more. Cage then explained that he's been looking for the right time to strike back against Strickland, as he remembers when he attacked and bloodied Nick Wayne at his training school. Cage also brought up the fact that Strickland was the person to lose the match at AEW All In that featured the two of them teaming against Darby Allin and Sting.
