The Fallen Angel has returned!
After SCU successfully retained the AEW World Tag Team Championships at AEW Full Gear, they were attacked by The Lucha Bros.
Before their attack could be completed, the lights went out in the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore. When they came back on, another Pentagon was in the ring. This Pentagon was revealed to be the injured Christopher Daniels who has returned under his classic Fallen Angel persona.

Daniels got a measure of revenge on Pentagon and Fenix, who had injured him and forced him to relinquish his spot in the tag team tournament.
The Fallen Angel persona has not been utilized in almost a decade since Christopher Daniels' time in TNA. Daniels once cited opponents' reluctance to have religious overtones in their storylines as a reason that the character fell by the wayside over the years.
