CM Punk Appears In Trailer For 'Let's Start A Cult'

CM Punk is in a new movie.

The first trailer for "Let's Start A Cult", starring Stavros Halkias, has been released. Phil Brooks, also known as WWE star CM Punk, briefly appears in the trailer. Andreas Wiseman of Deadline reports that the cast also includes Eric Rahill, Katy Fullan, and Daniel Simonsen. In addition to Punk, Joe Pera, and Tom Papa also make cameos. "Let's Start A Cult" will premiere in theaters on October 25th.

"Let's Start A Cult" is directed by Ben Kitnick and co-written by Kitnick, Halkias, and co-star Wes Haney.

Plot:

Having missed out on his cult's long-awaited ritual suicide, an obnoxious loser teams up with his bogus ex-messiah to rebuild their doomsday commune.

Punk previously appeared in "Girl on the Third Floor" and "Jakob's Wife". He also appeared on "Heels" and "Mayans M.C".

In WWE, Punk is set to be the special referee for the NXT Championship match between Ethan Page and Trick Williams on the October 1st episode of NXT. Additionally, he is slated to face Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell Match at WWE Bad Blood.
