CM Punk grabbed the pen on Tuesday's WWE Backstage and fantasy booked how he believes the angle between Rusev, Bobby Lashley, and Lana should play out.
Rusev and Lashley are set to clash in a tables match at WWE TLC, and if Punk were writing the story, he would continue things between the three all the way to WrestleMania, and possibly beyond.
"What you do is, they have a blow off," began Punk. "I don't think Rusev wants to be involved with Lana anymore on-screen. So, Lana and Bobby go off and do their thing. Eventually, Lana grinds on the nerves, Bobby is sick of her. He leaves Lana too, they have another divorce. She gets another tag team to go after Rusev and Bobby, who have become best friends because they have the ex-wife. They're like, 'Oh, man, this broad.' They become drinking buddies. This new tag team, with Lana in tow, go after them. What they do at WrestleMania, they put Lana in a shark cage. By WrestleMania, the new tag team is already so sick of Lana. The loser of the match gets what's in the shark cage. We can continue it past WrestleMania. I don't know if we're still doing shows in Saudi Arabia, but Lana in Saudi Arabia, I've got ideas for that too."
After the show, Punk took to social media to further promote his angle.
Loser keeps @LanaWWE match. Just booked you through mania, chica. You’re welcome. @RusevBUL #WWEBackstage

Lana responded, not taking kindly to Punk's comments.
I know you’ve been away from @WWE for several years. Perhaps moving forward, you will favor #WWE and @FS1 by refraining from misogynistic comments like “chica.” Thank you. #WWEBackstage https://t.co/aiPzcNI83n

Rusev and Lashley have not commented on Punk's angle or Lana's response. Punk has yet to respond to Lana as of this writing.
