CM Punk returned to wrestling in 2021, joining AEW after being away from the business following his WWE departure in 2014.
Punk won the AEW World Title on multiple occasions during his tenure and wrestled the likes of MJF, Eddie Kingston, Samoa Joe, Jon Moxley, Darby Allin, and more.
Speaking to Peter Rosenberg on Cheap Heat, Punk was asked if there was anyone in AEW that he didn't get to tell a story with that he would have liked to.
"No. I feel like I wasted some matches on some people, for sure. That is what it is. Some people understand the business and some people don't. I think everybody here understands the business," he said.
Punk was fired by AEW following AEW All In 2023 after a backstage altercation with Jack Perry. He returned to WWE at WWE Survivor Series 2023.
