CM Punk recalls speaking to Jesse Ventura.
WWE fans got a surprise on Monday when Jesse Ventura showed up to WWE Raw. His appearance was covered on the program, and he took photos with various superstars ahead of the event.
Ventura noted on social media that he came back for "moments like this," posting a photo with CM Punk.
Speaking to Jimmy Traina on the SI Media podcast, Punk gave his side of meeting Ventura.
"I saw Governor Ventura the other day. Absolutely, 100% blown away, one of the coolest things that has ever happened to me in my life is he tells me that he saw I came back, and he said, 'The place must have changed. If Punk is back, I'll go back,'" he recalled.
Traina gave Punk credit for Ventura's return to WWE.
Punk said, "I can't take credit for it, but I think a guy like me being back speaks volumes. Obviously, it does."
